Evolve Her Announces Theme, Speakers for September 12 Event  

at Folino Estate Vineyard & Winery

EASTERN PA…On September 12, SCORE and The Pennsylvania Community Development and Finance Corp. (PCDfc) will present a full-day workshop for women-owned small businesses called Evolve Her.  For a third consecutive year, Folino Estate Vineyard & Winery, 340 Old Route 22, Kutztown, is the venue.  Visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/evolve-her-2019-tickets-62219605515 to register for the 2019 Workshop.  Each advance $40 ticket includes breakfast and lunch plus swag bags and prizes.  The deadline for registration is September 5, 2019.  No registrations will be accepted at the door.

Innovative women entrepreneurs and business resources from across our region, including Berks County, Lehigh County, and the Tri-County area, will deliver a program of educational sessions with a focus on how to grow your small business.  This year’s theme is Mind. Body. Spirit.  Keynote Speakers will focus on financial wellness (Mind); health management (Body); and emotional wellness (Spirit).  

Deb Colitas, Founder and CEO, Digital Network Superstar, will begin and conclude the day’s workshop with a focus on the importance of networking to build authentic relationships.  Deb’s passion is enabling the success of others and watching them thrive! “Do you need to improve those with whom you are connecting, or do you need to improve the way in which you are connecting?”  Together with the audience, she will answer these questions.

Keynote speakers on MIND (Financial Wellness):

Ashley Blessing, CPA, is a Supervisor in the Small Business department at Herbein & Company, a regional CPA firm headquartered in Reading, PA. She specializes in small to mid-size closely held businesses that require accounting, tax and business consulting services. Her emphasis is with wholesale, professional services, medical and dental practices as well as manufacturing and distribution industries. Ashley serves on the Board of PCDf, as well as serves as an associate board member for The Discovery Federal Credit Union. She co-chairs the Emerging CPA’s committee and sits on the Community Engagement committee of the Reading Chapter of the PICPA.

Devanna Donofrio is a Technical Product Consultant with BB&T’s Treasury Services. With over 17 years in the financial industry, her subject matter expertise lies within integrated solutions related to Fraud, Cyber Security, Payables, and Receivables. She specializes in applying her expertise and market knowledge in successfully guiding clients to implementing the best possible solutions to meet their needs and goals. Among her qualifications, she holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Finance.

Abigail M. Martin is a member of Fitzpatrick, Lentz & Bubba’s Commercial Real Estate, Corporate, Business & Banking, Healthcare and Mergers & Acquisitions Groups. Ms. Martin’s primary practice area is commercial transactions, specifically commercial real estate financing and loan documentation. She also assists clients with mergers & acquisitions, entity selection, formation & organization, lease drafting & negotiation, and general contract drafting & review. In her healthcare practice, Ms. Martin counsels clients in various business and real estate transactions, including vendor contract drafting and review, acquisitions and sales, and leasing.

Paige Meacham possesses over 29 years’ retail banking and leadership experience.  She worksfor Key Bank as a Relationship Manager, covering over 53 Branch Network in Eastern, PA.  Previously, she worked for WSFS Bank as VP, Retail Office Manager of the West Chester banking office, and First National Bank of Chester County as Vice President of Business Development and Regional Manager. Also, she worked for First Financial Bank in Downingtown as a Regional Sales and Service Manager.   Paige graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration.  She is an active member of the Perkiomen Valley and Springford Chambers. Her service includes Boards for the Trappe Historical Society, The Skippack Business Owners Association, and The Arc of Chester County, where she has served on the Finance Committee for the past 8 years.  Paige is also active with The Chester County Bar Association and served on the Foundation Board from 2012-2014.

Jodi L. Bukowski is a financial services representative with New York Life who is passionate about empowering women financially.  Her background includes 15 years in the world of corporate marketing and 6 years as the owner of a successful events business. While owning her own business allowed her to fulfill a personal dream of entrepreneurship, it was in networking with other female business owners that she discovered her true passion for educating and empowering women financially. 

In her less than two years at New York Life she has become an award-winning agent and financial representative. She is a two-time qualifier New York Life’s prestigious Executive Counsel and won “Agent of the Year” in 2018. In addition to these accolades, she was recognized for her dedication to her clients by having her name enshrined on the “scroll of honor” which is on display at New York Life’s home office on Madison Avenue in New York City.  Although she spent many years living in places other than Berks County, Ms. Bukowski is a Berks County Native who is happy to be living “back home” with her husband and two children in Wyomissing. Ms. Bukowski is a graduate of Wilson High School, Alvernia University and Drexel University where she earned an MBA.

Keynote speakers on BODY (Health Management):

Katie Breon is the newest coach at Beyond Fit Gym, Douglasville. She recently left her role as a tax accountant to pursue her passion for fitness.  Katie attained her Personal Training Certification through NASM and will be coaching various sessions.  She has a background in tae kwon do, mixed martial arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and boxing.

Dr. Nora Maidansky is a licensed psychologist whose work combines organizational consulting and clinical practices.  She is a career changer, with over 20 years of electronics industry and 14 years of psychology field experience. Dr. Maidansky earned her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from Drexel University and a Doctor of Psychology degree from Widener University Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology. Her consulting work focuses on organizational leadership, executive selection, and coaching. Her past engagements include work with leaders of manufacturing, technology, medical, food products, educational, and non-profit sectors. In her clinical practice, she works with adults with focus on improving well-being through better relationships, parenting, interpersonal and stress management skills. 

Keynote Speakers on SPIRIT (Emotional Wellness)

Shonda Moralis, MSW, LCSW, is a women’s mindful empowerment coach, speaker, and psychotherapist in private practice. She believes that when women empower themselves and create life balance, they unleash the capability for incredible accomplishments. The author of the award-winning, Breathe, Mama, Breathe: 5-Minute Mindfulness for Busy Moms, Shonda lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and two kids, loves to play outside, and is perennially fascinated by what makes people tick. Her upcoming book, Breathe, Empower, Achieve: 5-Minute Mindfulness for Women Who Do It All is now available for pre-order (The Experiment Publishing, October 2019).
