The Northeast Berks Chamber of Commerce Brings the Best of the Best Together at the Annual Dinner.

June 20, 2023 – [Kutztown, Pennsylvania] – The Northeast Berks Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated return of its Annual Dinner and the introduction of the prestigious Shining Star Awards. As an integral part of the event, these awards serve to recognize and honor the outstanding achievements and contributions of chamber members within our community. The Shining Star Awards highlight the resilience, leadership, and commitment to excellence demonstrated by these exceptional individuals and businesses. Members of the Northeast Berks Chamber of Commerce are invited to submit eligible candidates through our online survey, providing an opportunity to showcase their peers and their remarkable accomplishments.

This year, the Annual Dinner is honored to feature renowned entrepreneur Craig Poole as the guest speaker. Craig Poole, President and COO of Reading Hospitality Management Company, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our upcoming Annual Dinner. With over 50 years in the hospitality industry, Craig’s remarkable career journey has been closely tied to the success of DoubleTree by Hilton Reading. However, his impact goes far beyond the hotel’s operations. Craig has established himself as a genuine and influential figure within the community, earning him the title of the “Mayor of Penn Street.” His dedication to community service and partnership with organizations like Habitat for Humanity have made a significant difference in the lives of the people of Reading.

Craig’s commitment to inclusivity is commendable, as he has actively created an environment that thrives on diversity. Through initiatives such as hiring autistic youth and fostering an inclusive workplace, he has demonstrated the power of embracing and empowering every individual. His efforts have not gone unnoticed, as he has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the CEO Light & Warmth Award and being named the DoubleTree by Hilton Outstanding General Manager of the Year for a Small Property by the American Hotel & Lodging Association.

As one of the Stars of the Industry, Craig’s expertise and accomplishments make him a sought-after speaker in the hospitality and lodging industry. We are privileged to have Craig as our guest speaker at this year’s Annual Dinner, where he will address our members on the topic of “Empowering Your Employees.” Drawing from his experiences and successes in creating a positive work environment, Craig will share invaluable insights that will inspire and motivate our chamber members.

Craig’s dedication to the legacy and vision of his mentor, Albert Boscov, aligns perfectly with our chamber’s commitment to revitalizing and creating a thriving community. We eagerly anticipate his speech and the opportunity to learn from his expertise. Join us at the Annual Dinner on October 26th, and be prepared to be inspired by Craig Poole’s wisdom and leadership in empowering employees for success.

As part of the event, The Northeast Berks Chamber of Commerce will announce four prestigious Shining Star Awards.
