PT Administrative Assistant
The Northeast Berks Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) is looking for a creative, innovative, knowledgeable Assistant for a responsible management position, focusing on member support services. This is a newly defined position, offering the challenge of assisting with the development and management of a growing regional Chamber of Commerce in Northeast Berks County.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Membership Support: Advocate for and be able to explain chamber products and services. Interface with a variety of technologies to process transactions and perform appropriate services for members. Positively communicate with diverse membership and volunteers, while providing excellent customer service. Support services for all programs and events.
Email and Social Media Management: Update and manage Constant Contact platform; create a monthly newsletter and distribute; create monthly social media campaigns based on Chamber activities; promote member activities and events; monitor and maintain all social media platforms; engage with members through their social media channels on behalf of the Chamber; schedule and conduct (when appropriate) Chamber Live events
Other duties as required: This position is also responsible for office hours to be determined and attendance at Board and Committee meetings and Chamber events (including managing registration table), as necessary. Attendance at off-site events may be required.
Qualifications: Strong customer service and teamwork skills; experience with data entry and data management are imperative; experience with administrative support, office management, and event management are preferred; ability to work consistently and independently with minimal supervision to meet all required deadlines and projects. Must be adaptable to changing business environments. Detail-oriented and adherence to confidentiality are required.
