BCTV’s Heather Adams presents A Citizen’s Guide to Community Media in February at the Northeast Berks Chamber Breakfast Meeting

Kutztown, PA…The Northeast Berks Chamber of Commerce, 110 W. Main Street, Kutztown, PA, opens registration for its February Breakfast Meeting at the Reading Regional Airport.

On Friday, February 21, Heather Adams, Executive Director of BCTV, Berks Community Television, will be the keynote speaker.  Heather Adams is the Executive Director of Berks Community Television (BCTV).  The Lyons Fiddle Festival is the meeting sponsor, and Grey Muzzle Manor is the Nonprofit Presenter.

BCTV is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation committed to providing community media content, created for and by people in Berks County. The organization’s mission is to empower people and engage community through open media and technology. In her position, Adams is leading the effort to set and communicate vision and goals for the development and growth of BCTV and community media in Berks County.

Adams was formerly the Senior Sales and Marketing Manager for Santander Arena & Performing Arts Center.  Her previous experience also includes Advertising Sales Management at the Greater Reading Chamber and Ad/Sponsorship Sales with Clear Channel Radio. She is involved as a volunteer with numerous projects and events throughout the community and has served as a Board member for Reading Musical Foundation, and The Literacy Council of Reading-Berks.  She is a 2016 Rising Star Award recipient and was selected as a member of the Berks County Community Foundation’s Nonprofit Fellowship Program.

A native of Berks County, Adams attended Oley Valley High school and graduated Magna Cum Laude from York College, York, PA, with a B.A. in Speech Communications.  She currently resides in Stony Creek Mills.  

The Lyons Fiddle Festival, a 2019 Supporter Sponsor of the Northeast Berks Chamber, announced its 2020 festival to be held on September 20 at Lyons Community Park, Lyons, PA. Nonprofit Partner Grey Muzzle Manor Sanctuary, Inc., a 2019 Bronze Sponsor of the Northeast Berks Chamber, is a nonprofit organization and operated exclusively for charitable purposes, specifically to act as a sanctuary for senior animals, provide hospice care and adoption services, and community outreach programs to assist senior pets from entering the shelter system.  Founder Marcy Tocker will represent the organization at Breakfast.
